Annapurna Panorama Treks,Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking

Annapurna Panorama Trek

Annapurna Panorama Trek

Annapurna Panorama  Treks  is a short trek that still includes all the spectacular mountain scenery of the Annapurna region. The Annapurna region has stunning panoramic views of the mountains and valleys, sub-tropical rhododendron forests, and wildlife. The amazing view of Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak) dominates the skyline during the trek. The view of the Annapurnas from Poon Hill is the supreme highlight of this trek. You will also experience the different culture and lifestyle of the ethnic mountain people as you pass through quaint Gurung villages in these remote regions.

The trail begins at Nayapul, following the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola and climbing steadily up the stone staircase to the village of Hile. The next stop is Ghorepani village, from where we get our first glimpses of the surrounding mountains including Annapurna South and Nilgiri. Early in the morning we set out from Ghorepani for a brisk 45 minute climb to reach Poon Hill, 3210m, the greatest viewpoint of the Annapurnas. From here, you will enjoy an awesome panoramic view of giants like Dhaulagiri, 8167m, Annapurna 8091m, Machhapuchhare, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, and South Annapurna.Ghandruk is a favorite traditional hillside village with stone houses mostly inhabited by the Gurung tribe. It's then an easy walk past streams, fields and some unusual thatched stone houses.
